BUG:Highlighter Palette creating multiple note files

Logos 7.1 (7.1.0.0025) Mac OS 10.11.6
See Problem with Resource Specific Note Files
Set Solid Colors Palette to Resource Specific note files.
Created two solid color highlights in Jensen's Survey of the Old Testament.
Each highlight created a new note document
The referenced thread above reports even more new documents, one created with each highlight.
UPDATE: This same problem exists with Jensen's Survey of the New Testament.

I'm going to take a wild guess... and it really is only a guess. I wonder if something about the name of the resource is incompatible with the naming schema of the note document. When the resource first creates a note document, it has to alter the name. When you create a second note, it checks to see if a note document has the same name and find it doesn't, so it creates a new note document. How helpful!
Can you show us the FULL name of both the resource and the note document(s)?
If my theory is right, I want someone to buy me starbucks. [:)]

I checked the title and there is an extra space in between "Of" and "The". I deleted the extra space and viola... I am now officially fixing bugs for Logos.
Now, the real magic is behind the question.... can I get my deleted highlights back AND batch merge them into a single note file? Or is that a matter for the other side of eternity?MBPro'12 / i5 / 8GB // 3.0 Scholars (Purple) / L6 & L7 Platinum, M&E Platinum, Anglican Bronze, P&C Silver / L8 Platinum, Academic Pro

Possibly at documents.logos.com

Afraid not, unless Bama knows something that I don't—concerning this question.

At that point, we probably will not care [;)]

Brilliant!
Thanks to FL for including Carta and a Hebrew audio bible in Logos 9!

In all seriousness, this reminds me of my pet peeve with how FL implemented this feature. Since the "resource specific" file is based upon the name of the resource, any resources with duplicate names will end up with a single file (unless you change the name of the resource).

Next time you're in Southern California (or I'm in Alabama?), I got you covered! [C] Cheers [C]alabama24 said:I'll take my regular (Venti Skinny Iced Mocha).
Thank you tremendously. It wasn't a show-stepper problem, but definitely frustrating. How can we let FL know to make a change, since Jack could reproduce the issue. I'm sure others with the resource may experience the same problem. I can't "Report Typos" in the title, and I had to do it manually. Do we just hope a FL'er comes across this thread?

Jack created a new thread with "BUG:" in the title to bring it to FL's attention. If you remember and don't hear anything from them in a few work days, bump the thread.

I'm kind of surprised we didn't base it on Resource ID and show the display title in the document title. I'm not going to speculate as to why. Regardless, I'll report this.

thank you!! And if you're reporting it, I'd mention several snippets of pages are out of order around the chapter summary/applications charts. I've reported typos, but thought I would mention since I have your ear. [:D]
