Personal Update from Bob and Audra Pritchett

Adding my prayers to all the others for God to heal and comfort you both.

Thanks, everyone, for your prayers and encouragement.

Audra has now had four of six chemo treatments. We heard yesterday that the treatment is going well, with tumors shrinking, and we're thankful for that even though the cumulative impact of the chemo is getting harder. The treatment cycles should be complete by the end of February. 

Bob, thanks for sharing the good news. We continue praying for your family.

Bob,

We are praying for you and Audra. Praying that the Lord will heal her if it is His will and that either way He can draw you and your family closer to Him. That He may comfort you all.

PS: After three years with health problems, the Lord gave me these verses and the phrase that really caught my attention was "momentary and light affliction". It was not how I was feeling and it really helped me to put in the correct perspective. Another point that really encouraged me was that all this was to produce "an eternal weight of glory far beyond all comparison". I pray that the Lord will encourage you too! That you both rest more and more in Him.

"Therefore we do not lose heart, but though our outer man is decaying, yet our inner man is being renewed day by day.
For momentary, light affliction is producing for us an eternal weight of glory far beyond all comparison,
while we look not at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen; for the things which are seen are temporal, but the things which are not seen are eternal." 2 Cor 4:16-18

Audra has Non-Hodgkin Lymphoma, and after years of 'watch-and-wait' she is now in her first round of chemotherapy. This follows months of terrible, mysterious pain (now 'obvious in hindsight') caused by tumors.

I'm so sorry to hear that this disease has struck your wife.  Be assured that we will indeed be praying for you and your family.  May God draw near to your wife, your family and yourself through this difficult time.

Audra is doing very well, and has continued to be 'all clear' at the quarterly checkups, which will continue indefinitely.
