Complex Search Function?

Hello, I'm trying to figure out how I can do an advanced search. I'm looking for times that the Bible mentioned the "from ___ to ___ " pattern, like "From faith to faith", or "face to face"... A double repetition with the word "to" in the middle.

What would that look like for a search?

Is there a place where I can find search functions listed out?

For the "from...to" option, try searching your Bible for:

from BEFORE 2-2 WORDS to

You could also expand it out a bit, say with 3-3 or 4-4, to see if any phrases were missed with 2-2.

For the "X to X" option, the easiest solution would be to use a Morph Query builder document, which allows you to very easily run searches for "wildcard" words, where the only thing that matters is that they are, say, the same lemma, separated by the word "to". Unfortunately, I'm getting a "There was an error communicating with the server" error when I try to build one right now... but that's how you'd do it, anyway.

It depends on exactly what you are trying to search.

"from _ to _" will find a lot of different contexts of meaning. There are different Greek words that can be translated with "to", "to" can also be translated because of a genitive if I remember correctly. I hope the explanation makes sense.

A more practical approach would be to use Greek lemmas?

Sample: lemma:ἀπό BEFORE 2-2 WORDS lemma:εἰς

To get to this query.Select a sample verse that qualifies for what you want to search. Right click on "from" in you Interlinear. Select the lemma and click on search this resource (inline). Copy the search term (lemma:ἀπό) and then do the same for "to". Paste the search term for first lemma in front of the search term for "to" (lemma:ἀπό lemma:εἰς). Fille in the blanks (lemma:ἀπό BEFORE 2-2 WORDS lemma:εἰς)
