Bug, 7.5 beta 2: User Media isn't displayed with Visual Copy

Thanks for adding User Media to 7.5!

The upload process seems to work well, although it would be helpful to have editing ability. After uploading, it wasn't clear to me that editing the parameters of the text box would not be "sticky", and would have to be re-specified every time I use the slide. It would also be helpful to have more control (bold, italics, justification, etc.), and to be able to add additional text boxes, e.g. for an author/title.

But on to the bug. To reproduce:

  1. Upload an item of user media.
  2. Select some text in a Logos resource, right-click, and choose Visual Copy.
  3. Click Find Media.
  4. Select User Media from the dropdown.

Result:

  • Logos Media is shown, not User Media.

Expected result:

  • The item I'd previously uploaded would be displayed.

Please note:

  • If you deselect the "From selected text" facet, the User Media will display correctly.

This is my personal Faithlife account. On 1 March 2022, I started working for Faithlife, and have a new 'official' user account. Posts on this account shouldn't be taken as official Faithlife views!

    There is a related bug in the Sermon Editor when selecting User Media for slides.

    To reproduce:

    1. Select Heading 1 .
    2. Click on slide (black background) and select Edit > Find Media > User Media
    3. No uploaded media is displayed while "header subheader" is selected, so deselect 
    4. Choose desired user media 

    Result: Original heading text disappears and has to be input again manually.

    Expected result: Original heading text retained > click Update Sermon 

    In addition to this, any further Heading slides return to the default black background, even if you select "Apply this style to heading slides."

    But I'm really grateful for this feature being added!! When it's all working as it should it will be a huge time saver.
