BUG 7.5 B2 - Highlighting
This is a section of text that is currently highlighted:
I select text that follows down to the end of the quote and choose to highlight in a different color. But, unexpected results:
Notice how the last fews words of the the first line are Red and Orange. It has something to do with these last words of the first line because if I resize text, there are different words double-highlighted.
It's visual, because in the note file, it has it correct:
Not sure if it has something to do with this, but I'll mention it here, too. For the first time, I noticed that notes in this file are prefixed with "unavailable resource."

This is a known problem as per the discussion at https://community.logos.com/forums/p/136476/883756.aspx

I saw this recently with highlights made using a beta version of the iOS app. Do you run the iOS beta at all?

Thanks. I missed it.

Graham - On one of my iOS devices I have beta installed. The other devices do not have it but have the stable. Does that present a problem?

Shouldn't normally be a problem.
However, there was an issue with one of the beta releases (about a month ago) which impacted highlighting and resulted in the sort of entries you are seeing. It was fixed within a few days and a new beta release was made available.
If the highlights you are seeing with "unavailable resource" was created on your iOS device running that particular beta release it would explain them. If not, we'll need to look a bit more closely.
And highlights created with that beta couldn't be restored - they needed to be deleted and recreated

Highlighting styles should now display properly in 7.5 Beta 3.

Unable to delete highlighting color. The delete key on the color is not active and won't let me delete the color. What am I missing?

First, welcome to the forums! [:)]
If you want to delete a highlight, do one of two things:
- Right click on the highlight and choose "remove annotation." You may need to change the tab on the upper right hand corner of the menu to make sure you have "selection" selected.
- Delete the note from the note document you stored the highlight in.
If this didn't answer your question, It would be best if you created a new thread and explained your issue clearly. Also, if you are using L7 stable, you should use that forum. If you are using beta, then post in beta.

Hi James,
As Alabama mentioned you can right click on the highlight and choose "remove annotation".
A second option is to have the Highlighting Tool open, select the text and choose the Erase button at the top of the tool.
Both of these options will remove the highlight from your resource.
Blessings,
Philana
