I just downloaded the free Perseus Americana collection, and made it into a collection. I want to be able to search it on occasion, but I don't want imagine ever needing to see the books/titles in the library view. That just clutters things.

If I hide all those books, are they still searchable?

Ben, thanks for posting! Hiding your resources removes them from your library and deletes the actual resource information from your installation. Hiding them will make them unsearchable.

What you can do is create a new collection that is all your books minus the Perseus Americana collection (Use a * for the match, and open the list of collections and drag the collection to the "Minus these resources" area). Then in your library panel, use the option at the top to select that resource. Then only the books in the selected collection will be visible.

Don't hide them because unhiding has to be done one resource at a time (if you want to search them).

You can create a collection with the rule:    * -publisher:perseus and use that to filter your Library view (instead of "All Resources").
