Map zoom out and in problem
Glad to have Atlas of Christian History. I coudnt zoom out or in it in my laptop. Besides there is no way to click the city names and search in my dictionaries. Has anyone able to do that ? Help. Thanks!

My understanding is that these maps are simply pictures in the book itself. I don't think the maps were designed to be interactive although that would be cool.

It is frustrating though - the images are pretty high res, but we can't appreciate it on small screens because we can't zoom in - I've said it a few times, but I really think you should be able to open any image quickly in a zoomable pop-up window/screen (and on mobile, even more so).
As it stands, I have to use accessibility settings on mobile and export images to other apps on desktop just to make details clear.

The city names click to a popup that a longpress can copy, thense search. (Noet app). You'll need to borrow a needle from your wife, to get the right pixel-dot.
Also, if you are a paidup member of Libronix Now, you can use the Logos2Libby.exe conversion utility to move the resource into the latest version of Libronix. Which offers several zoom facilities for your viewing pleasure. This is not totally true ... only to note Libby's still got points in her favor.

I have the same problem. Pointer changes to a hand when hovering over city but nothing happens upon clicking. This occurs on both my Lenovo laptop running Windows 10 and my Dell Desktop running Windows 7.
I also concur with the folks on another thread that the text size on some of the maps is very small - readable on my 20" desktop monitor but not easily readable.

What happens when you right click on the city instead of left clicking? I would try this out myself, but I don't have access to that resource at the moment.

The maps don't seem to be interactive, but you can zoom in by used a little program a LOGOS user, Steve Clark, developed and posted a couple of years ago: http://community.logos.com/forums/p/94329/655227.aspx It allows you to view and zoom in and out on any image you saved to clipboard. I have used it for a couple of years. I just updated it and received several warnings from windows, but since I knew the source I had it run anyway and have had no problem.

That's a great idea, Nord! I've played with Steve's CIV program (Clipboard Image Viewer) in the past, but now I finally dragged it to the Logos shortcut bar, since it's so easy to use and so sorely needed in resources like this:

Bruce is correct. There was never any indication that these books were being integrated into the Atlas Tool and would be interactive. No Logos Atlas that you purchase from the Logos book store functions in the same way the Logos Atlas tool functions. If it were the case you would not be able to download these maps to your mobile - the Atlas tool is an online feature. Not all resources will play as nicely on mobile as they do on a desktop and if you wanted them to play to that level of interactivity not only would they most likely need to be online only - they files would be too large to download, the cost of these resources would have been blown out of the water.
I am happy with what I have got for the price I have paid even if there are limitations on mobile - i never really expected to be able to make a lot of use of these resources on my phone screen.

It's very sad to see them just as pictures. They were meant more than that . Simply I can't read what's there. My eyes couldn't read them. Do I need glasses?

I need glasses but for seeing things in the distance, not close up things like these maps, but the clipboard viewer mentioned above does work well, but only of use to Windows users.. I find it frustrating when I can't see things in the distance others can see so I do respect your frustration at having issue with seeing these maps. Apologies if my previous comments did not reflect that. So I do hope Fasil there is a solution for you as these do look to be helpful resources

Bruce is correct. For most third-party resources like this, we're dependent on what the publisher provides us for images. For example, Map 30: The Western Church in 1500 is 1951x1438 pixels (if you use the right-click menu and save it to a file).
If you have a larger monitor, you may find it helpful to float the panel and then maximize the window: the image will then be sized to the window.

Sean, Logos is one of the best BSs ! This functionality is really underdeveloped . It's frustrating to buy other maps. I expect more . Maps are very important part of any Bible Studies.I guess this tool could function better than this . It's disappointing. It needs to improveme. Your programmers have done great jobs since Logos 4 . This one needs too. Hope to see better , intuitive, interactive and easy to use tool. Thanks for all your efforts.

I just found this cute CIV program by Steve, and followed NB.Mick's advice, brought it to Logos Shortcut bar.. what a mind-blowing experience!

I hope Logos would make it possible to have the function of zooming-in on maps/pictures for desktop and mobile. I hate to spend extra money on other software just because of this function.[:'(]

Aye - still desperate for this to be added. There are so many image heavy resources in Logos that would become usable if an image viewer was added that allowed you to zoom in.
Accordance does it, Olive Tree does it, Kindle does it... come to think of it, I'm not sure I know of any app that is remotely similar to Logos that doesn't offer it.
Having a resource that contains a high resolution image that can only be viewed in detail by copying it to another app is just the weirdest thing.

Hi Joe, welcome to the forums!
You probably have a shortcut to it automatically on your windows desktop - if not: make one.
Then just drag that over to the Logos Shortcut bar (easy, if Logos is not maximized) to the position you like, that's it.
