The Fee and Stuart Handbooks were supposed to ship today. Does that mean I will get them today?
Yes as long as there isn;t a release delay as sometimes happens.... but the moment it goes live you will have access to them (they still need to download and index).

Thank you. It is the first time I have tired pre pub. Nice.
Hi Rafe,
Thanks for trying pre-pub! The products usually ship toward the end of the day. We just shipped this, so you should see it show up in your library soon.
Please let me know if you have any further questions about pre-pub.

IF Pre-Pubs are going to ship "toward the end of the day" why not set the published ship date to one day latter.
Then we will not expect it untill the next day and we will then start complaining that we got it a day early.

It's the same as if you were getting something delivered from an online store. When you track on the UPS website it says you will get it today before 8:00 pm. They are not going to say that you will get it tomorrow (a day later) because it showed up at 5 pm. I usually get all of my pre-pubs downloaded by 4 pm central time.
Best to leave the system the way it is, often a book will ship early in the day occasionally it can be a few days late if a problem has arisen. I have a couple of times let an order stand till the last moment as i try to arrange finances around to get a massive release. I want every prePUB I order but one occasion so many things are released at once or other expenses have arisen that I can not get it. If an extra day was tacked on meaning things were released earlier than expected I and others may need to call in to return a volume or set we cannot afford.

Those living in the Eastern Hemisphere normally get on the next day. Not really a problem, but useful to know.
