I have set up a "my style" in copy bible verses, but it is not quite what I want and I don't know how to tweak it that last little bit

My current format comes into my word processor like this:

Hebrews 12:2

2 looking to Jesus, the founder and perfecter of our faith, who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is seated at the right hand of the throne of God.

I want it like this:

Hebrews 12:2 looking to Jesus, the founder and perfecter of our faith, who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is seated at the right hand of the throne of God.

For multiple verses I want:

Hebrews 12:2–4 looking to Jesus, the founder and perfecter of our faith, who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is seated at the right hand of the throne of God. 3 Consider him who endured from sinners such hostility against himself, so that you may not grow weary or fainthearted. 4 In your struggle against sin you have not yet resisted to the point of shedding your blood.

I have tried playing with the notes there but cannot get what I want.  Any guru have it worked out?

Thanks

Pat
