Is there a linked thread regarding the spacing for the application tool bar?
It looks like a great deal of padding was added around every single thing on the tool bar, including the command box and each shortcut icon, leading to the situation where I can no longer see every shortcut (without having to horizontally scroll them).
I hadn't run into any issues regarding the more compact tool bar; I'm curious to know what led to this change. Thanks!
Thanks to FL for including Carta and a Hebrew audio bible in Logos 9!
PetahChristian,
I've connected with someone within the company to find out more information. There is not a specific thread dealing with this issue.
Thanks, Philana!

The New Search Engine....This is my first time hearing of this. I went back and looked at the other thread. Is it now fully functional with morph searching, syntax searching, etc....as the first search engine?

Yes, thank you! I have the same issue. When I'm at home, it's not a problem because I use an external monitor which is much more spacious, but when I am not at my desk or out of the house using my laptop, it's as if I lose many of my toolbar shortcuts.

It is also mentioned in the release notes. It seems the change might have been made to accommodate those using Windows touch screen devices (it would make it easier to tap the correct icon with the added spacing). What could be done in a future release is add an option for "Compact" or "Padded" top bars (so those on smaller screens that need the extra screen real estate can stick with a more compact top bar).

Sounds good to me! These are options in my email browsers.

Orpheus Heyward: The New Search Engine....This is my first time hearing of this. I went back and looked at the other thread. Is it now fully functional with morph searching, syntax searching, etc....as the first search engine?
The new search engine doesn't support syntax searching. It will be used by Morph Search if it supports the query you're running. (This does not include proximity, ANDEQUALS, or wildcard morph terms, so in practice it may not be used for many morph searches.) If the new search engine can't process the query you've entered, the old search engine will be used automatically.

I'm on a 27-inch iMac and now have to scroll to see all my shortcuts - I wish there was an option to choose between 'compact' and 'extra spacing'.
Thanks for the pulled download update. I thought I had entered the Twilight Zone.

This is a good idea that I support.

We hope to have a release out soon. We discovered a crash in a very unusual situation that we needed to fix.

No problem, I had updated my Mac before seeing it pulled which explains why my other machines couldn't update.
I have the same problem, using MacBookPro with current OS.
For clarity: I have the same problem with the spacing and really do not care for this spacing, it is both functionally cumbersome and visually unappealing. The option to expand or compress sounds like a great option.

We wanted to unify the toolbar between Windows and Mac. Windows had more space between the shortcuts. Mac had less. We unified on Mac, but we're going to switch and unify with what Mac had instead. We agree that Windows is a bit too spacious. Thanks for the feedback.
Thanks Phil. Good move!
