ESV Read-aloud (iOS)

I use the read-aloud feature (ESV) via the Logos app on my iPhone. It's very glitchy:

Many times the reading won't start, I have to close the app several times and restart the reading before it will work.
The reading speed control works until the reading spans chapters. Once the narration moves to a new chapter the speed is reset to 1x.
Reading frequently stops when moving to the next chapter.

Do you have a good, steady internet connection while using? The ESV read aloud is "online only."
Which specific version of which specific app?
Which version of iOS?
