NLT Study Bible Notes Question
Does this study Bible contain everything the print edition contains? Dictionary of 100 Hebrew and 100 Greek words, notes, articles, crossed-reference system, etc.? The Accordance version has everything, so I want to make sure the Logos edition has everything too that way I'll get it from Logos instead of Accordance.
Thanks!

It has the notes, articles, charts, maps.... but without the Dictionary of 100 Hebrew and 100 Greek words, crossed-reference system

Thanks Leo! I guess I will have to pass on the Logos edition and get the Accordance edition instead, which cost the same but has more content.

All FAITHLIFE has to do is update it. Simple as that. Why they have not done that is weird.

Logos product page => https://www.logos.com/product/8646/new-living-translation-study-bible-notes has Look Inside that includes Table of Contents.
Dictionary and Index for Hebrew and Greek Word Studies is missing. After looking at the ten printed pages in a printed 2011 NLT Parallel Study Bible, personally would not use it because Logos has better Word Study capabilities.
How to do Word Studies with the NLT Parallel Study Bible While reading through the Bible text, you will find at various places a superscript letter attached to the front of an English word. In the cross-reference column, there is a transliteration of the Hebrew or Greek word or phrase that underlies the translation at that point, along with the Strong's number(s) in parenthesis (see below) and the location of the next reference in the Hebrew or Greek word chain. If you follow the reference chain, eventually you will read through all of the marked instances of that word or group of words in the entire study Bible. Doing so is a good way to begin doing Hebrew and Greek word studies.
Original language words in the dictionary are transliterated into English while not having original language lemma, which matches Bible text convention. NLT Dictionary includes:
charis (5485): grace. The noun means showing kindness toward someone, often with gifts and benefits as part of the beneficent relationship. The word can be used as a greeting or a simple thank you. It often refers to God's basic relationship of favor and kindness to human beings, especially his children. SEE Luke 2:40; Rom 3:24; 5:2, 21; 6:1; Gal 1:15; Eph 1:6; 2:5, 8; 2 Thes 1:12; 2 Tim 2:1; Titus 2:11; 1 Pet 3:7; Rev 22:21
In Logos, can right click on grace in Revelation 22:21, click lemma on right side, click Bible Word Study on left side
Bible Word Study (BWS) shows NLT has translated χάρις (charis) in 154 verses with a variety of words. NLT starter word study chain has 14 verses.
The NLT Bible in Logos includes Tyndale Bible Verse Finder, which is different than printed NLT Dictionary / Concordance
Hovering mouse over reference has pop-up (personally use advanced prioritisation so pop-up text is NLT instead of highest prioritized Bible).
Hardcopy 2011 NLT Parallel Study Bible also has a Subject Index for the notes and articles: NLT Study and Life Application.
Keep Smiling [:)]

Yes, I hope that Faithlife would update it to include the front matters too : Master Timeline, Overview Maps, Contributors...

I have this in both Accordance and Olivetree... I do not see the word studies in the ACC but they are in the OT...

My bad the word studies are in Accordance via cross references. My bad for not exploring more extensively.

Yes Dan, the NLT Study Bible is divided into 3 modules for easy access. It's a real shame Logos didn't take the time to offer a better quality product; hence, my decision to purchase the Accordance edition. I even jumped on the Orthodox Study Bible which is stuck in pre-pub limbo, but available in Accordance.

I somehow missed the cross references module.

In the cross reference module's TOC you'll find a section for the 100 Hebrew and 100 Greek words studies. You can still find them scattered throughout the cross references and look at them through the instant details window. Accordance really did a good job and the maps are good too 👍
