Is it possible to remove the "community highlight" in my library. You need to do it in the resources - the "Popular Highlights" option under the Resource section of the Visual Filter menu
And if you click the arrow to the right of that option you will have the ability to turn them off for all resources in one go
Remove the Community Highlight

Is it possible to remove the "community highlight" in my library. I have turned off Community tags, but the dashed line and highlighter still show up saying "5 people highlighted this text" in My Utmost for His Highest and other resources in my library. Cant find any other place where it might be.

That did the trick. Thank you so much.

That did not work for me with Logos 9.6. Is there some other way to get rid of highlights of words that I did not put in a commentary?

Could you provide a screenshot of the highlights in question?

Do you have an open Search tab with a search term that includes "my", "Lord", "the", "of", "not" and "is"? Does closing all tabs and then reopening just this specific resource solve your problem?

I closed all tab and then reopened the one that had the highlights. Problem solved

This is indeed frustrating. I know I've turned this off previously but opening a different book shows new community highlights. Is there a global place to turn this off for all resources? No offense to anyone, but I really don't care who else highlighted something. It can be very distracting while reading something to the point I don't want to highlight because it becomes more noise--and heaven knows we already have enough noise in our world.

Graham showed this in his post, but here again with visual steps how to do it:

I know how to do this for ONE resource. I want it turned off Globally.
Sorry, I can't read your screenshot, it seems to be a very low resolution. But in fact the setting Graham explained and I re-iterated does turn off the community highlighting (now under L9 called "popular highlights") globally. It does what it says, "do not show in any resource".
I just tested this by having Grudem's Systematic Theology showing alongside Connect the Testaments - using the setting in one of them turned it of for both.

NB.Mark -- you are absolutely correct! I had missed it initially because you don't see the turn down arrow without hovering over first. Thank you! This will minimize so many distractions to the text.

Glad to hear it's working now for you!
Blessings for your studies.

Goodness me. I have wondered how to turn that off for so long. Thanks for this extremely helpful tip!

Thank you. I have been trying to turn off this annoying community highlight feature since the day I paid for the upgrade to current Logos. I have no idea why this feature exists.
For what we pay for Logos, its a shame we can't get this answer by calling customer service and instead we have to rely on "power users" in these forums.0 -

Ever try to figure out what it would cost if we could get the answer by calling customer service? I suspect I'd be priced out of the market. However, you can you the feedback site to request it be better documented in the Help file.

Do I understand correctly that you are posting in the Logos 7 forum with concerns about Logos 9 (the current Logos) or are you under the impression that Logos 7 is the current Logos and have just been enlightened?

I am intrigued! What was the response of Customer Service when you asked this question. Whenever I have called them they have been most helpful. I don't call them often, not living in the ex-colonies. It is usually quicker to ask on the forums.

Many years ago, when I first called them pre-forum days on L3, I was told they did not provide training, only software support, after which they politely ended the call. I was unhappy because I knew it was a bug not user error. After about a week of trying off and on to isolate the problem, I called them a second time, this time reporting exactly the same issue as a bug ... I got excellent service although the bug was never fixed in L3; the L4 Personal Books Builder did not have the error. Once I learned not to call on training issues, I've had excellent service; at least once I've had to ask for a more experienced agent because the problem was very difficult to explain or document with screen shots ... but the switch was handled professionally and the problem finally illustrated/documented.
