Sermon Editor BUG...Good Grief.....
There seems to be a bug with with even the newest release of Logos that has attacked the sermon editor on MAC. What I have experienced is that whenever you bring a verse into the sermon editor and then change the version of the Bible which the verse reads, it completely causes your editing features to become unusable. You have to delete the verse, add it again and then before you change the version of the Bible, you have to type something below the verse so that it will keep the editing features active. But even then when you starting typing, it automatically places your cursor in the middle of the first word.
So, you have to arrow over to the end of the word and then back space to the end of the first letter and then you can continue until you have to add another verse. And being an Expository preacher, I use a lot of cross references, so this is a pain!!!!
Anyone else experiencing this?

Hi, Michael,
I'm sorry for the trouble. I haven't been able to reproduce this yet.

How are you bringing the verse in? Do you manually type the reference and hit "Enter" to populate the verse slide, or some other method?

Yes, I am entering the verse and then pressing enter. IT works great and as normal until I try to change the version. When I select the version that I want then immediately the tsk bar at the top goes greyed out and the only way to get it back is to back space until you get into the verse then hit enter and then task bar comes back active but then it places the cursor into the middle of the next words that you type.

I've just seen something similar - but created in a different way - and on Windows.
I have the bulleted list shown below and I selected it and created a slide.
When I then started typing below this block of text the editor put my cursor in the middle of the first word.
I tried to repeat it and it worked fine.

Glad I am not the only one. Thanks, Graham. Mine did not do it all the time, but enough to be annoying.

We'll keep trying to reproduce this, but intermittent bugs are the trickiest kind. If you have logs you can share, that could be a huge help.
Thanks.

Thanks Adam - and I understand the challenge!
If it happens again I’ll try and post logs

Hi Pastor Michael,
I was able to reproduce this and will get a case filed. As a workaround, if you hit enter it will place the cursor under the Passage Card.

If it helps it has just happened again.
I had just added Romans 6:23 and changed the Bible version from NIV (my highest prioritised version) to NIVUK (2011). This is something I do many times without any problems.
Then I started typing the word "God" beneath it and got the results as shown
I closed Logos and here is the log from that time. It happened two / three minutes before the end of the log but I can't see anything particularly relevant / helpful
As Philana has reproduced it I appreciate you may have all the information you need but thought I would post this to see if it helps[:)]

Issue update: We have been working on this problem, but it looks like it won't make our cutoff in time to get into 7.12, which releases to stable this coming Monday. It will be available in 7.13 beta 1 the following Monday.
In the meantime, please use the workaround suggested by Philana above:
After you change the Bible version, hit the Enter key to place your mouse under the Passage Card.0 -

That's good news Adam
Thanks, Graham
