Normally, a "2 Kingdoms" reference points to the LXX. Even though the passage may correspond to its counterpart in 2 Samuel, it is simply not accurate for the hyperlinked first to lead to the second in non-LXX Bibles. This needs to be fixed.

Differentiation will happen only if the reference is linked to an LXX resource. Otherwise verse mapping will link it with your preferred bible as either 2 Sam or 2 Kingdoms e.g. [[2 Kindoms 1:2  >> BibleLXX2:2 Kingdoms 1:2]]  ---> 2 Sam 1:2 in ESV if preferred. Preferring an LXX bible may appear to solve the problem, except that 2 Sam 1:2 will also link to the LXX!

1 Kingdoms 1:2

Yes, my point exactly: this behaviour should be changed. It is not conventional to use 2 Kingdoms when speaking of 2 Samuel in the Hebrew Bible and its modern language translations. 2 Kingdoms should be understood as a LXX reference always.

In clarifying the non-LXx linkages, they'd not want to mix up the 4-Kingdoms in the Latin, Vulgate and D/R.

"God will save his fallen angels and their broken wings He'll mend."
