Personal Journal for 2018

Hi all!

I've attached a DOCX file originally created in 2014 by DominicM (thank you!!!) for those of you who, like me, want to journal within Logos this year.

Just download it and create it is a Personal Book. It is set up to use Daily Devotional formatting so that it opens to whatever day it is automatically.

The box size is not dynamic and will not increase if you exceed the given space. However, it doesn't just cut you off either. It will just add a scroll bar if your entry is long. If you want to modify the amount of lines you have, just edit the DOCX file before you create it is a personal book and use Word's "find and replace" feature to find "lines=30" and replace it with "lines=x" where x is however many lines you'd like. I modified the original template from 10 to 30 for my own use.

If this is found in a year that is not 2018 (hello future!), use the find and replace feature to replace 2018 with whatever year it is.

Hopefully someone out there finds this helpful.

Cheers!

    How do you set it up with the daily devotional formatting? I've never done that before.

    This could be read two ways, so I'll answer both.

    1. If you want to know how to get this file to input as a daily devotional, it already is. When you open it, it will open to the day it's on.

    2. If you want to know how to format a file you're making into a personal book so it will act like a devotional, you can use this DOCX file as an example.

    I didn't create the file, but it looks like you would just need to replace this line with whatever the content of that day was:

    {{input id=J2018_JAN_1 | type=text | lines=30| prompt=“Enter Thought..”}}

    Hope that helps. Let me know if you have any more questions.
