Does indexing start over in A19?
On the positive side, A19 seems to be a bit quicker than recent builds.
On the negative, indexing is showing 40 hours! And that's actually been steadily climbing since I first saw it report 31 hours.
Does A19 require a total rebuild of the index? I haven't seen time expectations that high since initial installs and early builds.

Yes, due to some changes in the indexer A19 requires a full rebuild of the index. Windows users will have to fully reindex when 4.0d ships.

Is it a full index rebuild? My log says it is only indexing 25 resources.

Mine didn't take 40 hours. I think it took about one hour. Or maybe the indexer crashed. I don't know.

Mine didn't take too long either. It first indexed 25 books and then 36. Probably took an hour or so while I fixed dinner.

Mine said it was going to take 11 hours, then all of a sudden it was done.
Must be a Windows style progress bar ;-)

LOL is an old thread around here somewhere where in an early Alpha I was up to 150 hours of indexing (it only took 5).. it was quite an entertaining 5 hours though [;)]R.
