How to find all "peh nun" verbs presented in Nifal binyan?

I tried

<lemma=WIVU/he/??נ> for my BHS SESB 2 also tried with asterisks and reversed the ordering of the nun and the asterisks so I switched to BHW and tried same variations starting with: (just to get the peh-nun lemmas)

<lemma=lls/he/נ**>

I also tried typing: h:n*@vn in the builder (i.e. Hebrew word starts with nun, is a verb, in nifal...

Also played with morph document a bit, but it won't allow me to enter wildcards for the lemma

Apologies since search of all resources in my library found nothing for "Nifal binyan"

(just to get the peh-nun lemmas)

Found one resource that describes "peh-nun" verbs. Searching Enhanced Strong's Lexicon for:

<H4994-H5428> BEFORE 4-7 WORDS "v."

found 145 peh-nun verbs

Screen shot shows Table of Contents for Enhanced Strongs Lexicon, which was useful for numeric search range.

Reverse Interlinear with Strongs Numbers can be searched for peh-nun verbs with corresonding words highlighted in Hebrew

<H4994-H5428> INTERSECTS <LogosMorphHeb ~ V????????>

Corresponding word highlights include imperfect verbs in Lexham Hebrew Bible with nun dropped.

Sorry I wrote binyan, this is the way I learned the names of the verbal form, it's a traditional Jewish way. Maybe it's called stem?

I added the letter 'd' to your query to get that final part and it worked:

<H4994-H5428> INTERSECTS <LogosMorphHeb ~ Vd????>

In theory, wildcards are specified like this: <Lemma lbs/he/נ*> (using the LHB). But it doesn't pick up words like נֶ֫פֶשׁ (nephesh, if the Hebrew is too small to read). I don't know why. I'm a Hebrew amateur, but if that doesn't make sense to you, either, I'll report it as a bug.

Then you could have done <Lemma ~ lbs/he/נ*> INTERSECTS <LogosMorphHeb ~ Vd???????>

(The problem with you attempted syntax was the equals sign, which forced Logos to look for the exact word (i.e. the wildcard was ignored). You needed to either delete the equals sign, or replace it with a tilde ~).

seems to work right. It does pick up the נפש root when it's in verbal form (and in nifal (niphal) )

We wouldn't expect it to pick up נֶ֫פֶשׁ (nephesh) since it's a noun; unless you mean the first part of the query isn't picking up nephesh?

I think you are right though if you mean just the first part of the query.

It's also not picking up 'nephilim' Gen 6:4

seems not getting any nouns.

Also, I think if I just type: lemma:נ** in the query box, in the drop down it picks up verbs only; it seems executing the query gets the same results (no nouns)
