Highlighting is not functional

I've been using the Testflight since its inception and am up to date. For the last week or so the highlighting feature is not working. I can select the text area and select the highlighter, but it doesn't "take." I'm using a 2007 iPad.

I've had this happen in the past. It seemed to be a sync issue when I was in a place with poor internet connection. When I got my internet working better it went away. May not be your issue, but something to consider. I also have had to force close the ios app in this case and that fixed it too. Finally, logging out and back in, a pain if you download a lot of books, can help.
