If you have an internet connection and use default settings, than "in the cloud." 

Do you use only one device? One way to check is to see if they have synced. Another way: check https://documents.logos.com

Even if you are using only one device, then there is advantage to the cloud.  For instance, if your single device fails, or needs to have Logos reloaded, then all of your notes, highlights, favorites, and other settings will be automatically restored as soon as you reload Logos.

My question above did not infer otherwise. Rather, I was simply suggesting a means for the user to test the question for himself. A nuanced distinction: Logos does not sync between computers. They sync to the cloud.
