I accidentally deleted a note on Galatians 5:16-18, CSB. I cannot find a way to get it back. Using the site Documents.Logos.com doesn't show it. I'm guessing it only shows the old notes docs. I tried the trash receptacle in the lower left corner of the Docs menu and it goes to the Documents web site where I don't see it as a note I can return. The actual note is still there. Just not the content. I tried CMD+Z to Undo. Nothing. It was a fairly long note too. This is going to be really bad if this is not possible in the new notes system.

Hey Kevin, if you delete a note in the new notes tool you can find them in the trash can at the bottom of the screen. From there you should see a list of the notes and when you click on one at the bottom of the screen there is an option to either Permanently delete or undelete.  Are you not seeing this?

No. As I stated above it's not there.

And "magically" it's back! Wondering if someone behind the scenes fixed it for me or it just came back for some reason. But there it is.

Kevin, the trash in the Docs Panel is NOT the same as the trash in the Notes Tool. The Notes Tool trash allows you to "untrash" or permanently delete your deleted notes from within the Notes Tool. Hope that helps clear any confusion!

That's confusing. I wonder if the Trash ought to be a one-stop-shop for all deleted notes and documents? That would make more sense.

But there's a probably something in how each is constructed that means that wouldn't work!

It actually makes sense when you think that Notes has been taken out of the Documents system is now more a tool. Since a note isn’t a document it makes sense that It’s not in the documents trash, but on the other hand, you’d expect trash to have all things deleted regardless where it gets deleted from. I’d prefer having it in one place. But it’s a minor point.

In that case, we'd need the icon to be a dumpster and we'd have a one-stop-dumpster-dive! 😜

FWIW, the idea is to eventually bring the Docs Panel trash into line with the behavior of the Notes trash (drag-n-drop to trash; review/undelete within the app; etc). If/once this happens, it might seem more natural to have separate trash cans.

That sounds good.

I suppose it will end up like my kitchen - a different trash can for recycling, glass, food waste.......
