A20 - Bug: Since downloading, no main window opens

I have been using A1-19 without any layout problems. However, once I downloaded A20, I am now unable to see the main screen or any other screen for that matter. I do see a toolbar, and one thing I noticed is that there are no items under the "Layout" menu. When I select any other menu items, nothing happens. As of now, A20 is completely unusable. I have attached my log files below. Thanks.

I was wondering if anyone had a chance to look at this. I honestly wouldn't bother you with it except I am completely unable to use the software since updating to A20. I believe something is wrong with the new layout feature that is keeping my main window from opening. Thanks!

David:
My apologies no one has responded to you thus far. You posted after office hours on a Friday and rarely do we check the forums over the weekend so your post go buried by other users.
Do you have any highlights or any other changes to your Anchor Yale Bible Dictionary?

Thanks for your response. It is possible that I added highlights or made some changes to Anchor. I would have removed any highlights. Is there something I should try?

I am also having the same problem since the update to A20. Mine comes up to the main screen with the news items. I can use the field under the Logos upper left corner to enter something and click Go to search. Once I get what I need from that search there is nothing else I can do. When I quit the program it just locks up whether I did anything or not and have to use the force Quit. Also the Home, Library and search buttons upper left do not function at all whether or not I have done anything!
I tried uninstalling like someone said and reinstalled and it is still having the same problem. Leaving it Unusable for me.

Could you pull out your visualmarkup.db to your desktop and post it here? I'd like to see if the program opens fine without that file in there. Here is where the file should be.
/Users/userfolder/Library/Application Support/Logos4/Documents/uniquefolder/VisualMarkup/

I did that and left the folder open and then started Logos4. I saw a new .db file created in the folder and the pgm opened. It still had the same problem and could not be shut down without a force quit.

William:
Those instructions were specifically for David as I have seen his logfiles and noticed an error with the visualmarkup and that book. I don't know what the problem for you might be. I would advise reproducing the problem you are experiencing and follow the instructions linked from my signature on how to post log files.

Tommy,
Here is my visualmarkup.db file. I tried launching the program without this file, and I am having the same problem. Thanks.

Can you turn off internet in System Preferences, Open up Anchor Yale Bible Dictionary. Scroll in it. Then close it, and then turn internet back on in system preferences? It is trying to sync that file and this has been the fix with other users.

I believe your ReadingPlan.db file is corrupt. Can you close L4, pull the file out, and restart L4?

OK, tried this. I did not try creating a new reading plan. BUT the three icons in upper left corner, i.e. Home, Library, Search still do not do anything when click on. Using the Go field I do a search, which brings up the other window that allows you to search entire Library or just the Bible (s). BUT when you are done, you cannot go back to HOME or anyplace else. AND anytime you try to quit L4, it hangs and you have to do a force quit. I am including a new zip of the log files.
In the Documents folder there are several folders including the Reading Plan and some files all called documents with different endings. What happens if I delete them and try restarting L4?

William:
Can you delete your layouts.db file? IT seems it is malformed.
