Crash
Logos 8 on MacBook Pro
Opened Logos
Clicked 'Guides' in menu bar
Clicked 'Passage Guide' under section headed 'Guides'
Typed 'Nahum' in search box and clicked 'God is Awesome' - software crashes
Same problem when any other reference is entered

There is not crash log in the uploaded folder. I cannot reproduce this crash on my Macbook.
Have you customized the Passage Guide, or are you using the default?
It looks like the Logos log may indicate a problem with a change in your collections.
I'll se if I can get someone with better knowledge of the logs to take a look at this.

Welcome [:D]
Logos.log shows macOS 10.14.0 that can be upgraded to macOS 10.14.1
Several forum users have reported macOS 10.14.1 upgrade fixed Logos 8 crash.
Keep Smiling [:)]

Thanks. I have updated to OS 10.14.1 but Passage Guide continues to cause a crash. Other guides work fine, though.

Thanks.
I posted the file that was generated with the Logos Logging Utility. Is there something else I should have done?
I look forward to hearing from Logos about this issue.
I did remove the Logos App and made sure that all its 'bits' had gone before restarting the Mac and then reinstalling Logos. It made no difference! Curiously, I am having no problems with the Windows version.

You did all the right things and there is evidence of a crash in there - but I can't work out from it what the problem is

Does that mean you have upgraded to Logos 8 SR-1? If not, it's worth doing - type "update now" in the command box - as that does fix a number of crashes, though this one isn't explicitly listed in the release notes.

Thanks. The 'update now' showed that this morning's synchronisation had installed the latest update. Sadly, however, the crash still happens when I used Passage Guide and even in the Expository Sermon Workflow when I clicked to expand the 'Identify Possible Themes' section (1.4).
I've attached the log that was created by Apple, if that is of any help. I wish I could interpret such a document! It seems to me that a key set of lines are:
Crashed Thread: 0 CrBrowserMain Dispatch queue: com.apple.main-thread
Exception Type: EXC_BAD_INSTRUCTION (SIGABRT)
Exception Codes: 0x0000000000000001, 0x0000000000000000
Exception Note: EXC_CORPSE_NOTIFY
Application Specific Information:
Crashing on exception: NSConcreteAttributedString initWithString:: nil value
abort() called
Such fun!

Seems odd to be replying to myself...
Chatted with my son who is both a Logos user and a software developer. When I mentioned the fact that the 'Thematic Outlines' also caused the software to crash, he suggested that I look at the other sections of the Passage Guide and see if any of those had the same effect. I worked through to 'Figurative Language' without a hitch. I jumped to 'Theme' and then to 'Topics'. Still no problem. So back to 'Thematic Outlines' and, crash! This is where the problem lies, it seems.
(I even deleted my installation of LibreOffice just in case there were any Java problems.)
So, perhaps I can create a new 'Passage Guide' and omit the 'Thematic Outlines' (and avoid that in the Workflow, too) as a workaround until Logos can fix the bug.

Patrick,
It seems like you might be experiencing the same issue I recently posted about in this thread: https://community.logos.com/forums/t/174611.aspx

Problem fixed. Logos sent me another (newer) Logos 8 update.
Thank you everyone for your help.

This is now fixed in 8.0 SR-2.
