The web app uses cutting-edge techniques to render resource content very accurately (virtually identically to the desktop app). It may not work with all devices, though (perhaps older browsers, some mobile devices, etc.). Compatibility Mode increases compatibility at the expense of some fidelity with the desktop rendering.

Scrolling is much quicker in compatibility mode, which I really appreciate. The scrolling isn't as good when it is running outside of compatibility mode.

The problem is that when I am in compatibility mode I can't use the typical way to highlight text (select text and then the pop-up window appears and I select "Highlight). I am able to select text in Chrome and Firefox while in compatibility mode, but the pop-up windows with "Highlight" in it doesn't appear. Why is that? Is there a workaround?
