Shortcut to focus open library window
Hi all
I am quite used to using CTRL+L as a shortcut to open the library, however in L8 it opens a new copy of the library window rather than focusing the previously opened copy. I am not sure if this is a change in behaviour between L7 and L8. Does anyone know a shortcut to open the previous copy of the library window?
thanks
Paul

This is indeed new behavior, and while it's nice to be able to have more than one library window open at a time, I consider the current behavior a bug. My preference would be to have Cmd/Ctrl+L have a couple basic steps of logic:
- If Library window open then
- If has focus then
- Open new library window
- Else Shift focus to library window
- Else Open new library window
The current behavior is simply "Open new library window" regardless of how many are open. The logic summarized here would result in what I'd consider the optimal behavior. The first time it would open a new library window. Clicking on a resource title opens that resource and moves focus to the resource (except for a separate bug on Mac). Cmd+L will simply switch focus back to the currently open library window. Now, with the window in focus, I can hit Cmd+L again and a New window will open. All subsequent hits will simply toggle between the two open library windows.

Alt + L on my install opens and closes the Library within the main window. However this does nothing when you have a floating library window. TBC it is quite an annoying change of behaviour because there is no easy way to get back to the previous Library window.
