Faithlife Verse of the Day for Rainmeter

Rainmeter skin to display the current Faithlife Verse of the Day artwork on your Windows desktop.

Features:

Display Verse of the Day (VotD) artwork on your desktop, updated daily (Checked at 15 min intervals)
Alternatively, display the VotD as just text without artwork
Share the VotD artwork to Faithlife, Facebook, or Twitter
Open Logos to the VotD in your preferred bible
Open a Passage Guide in Logos to the VotD
Copy the text of the verse to the clipboard
Copy the verse reference to the clipboard

Download from:

Installation:

Download & Install Rainmeter
Download the Verse of the Day skin from: https://github.com/simsrw73/Rainmeter#faithlife-verse-of-the-day
Double click on the rmskin file to install it.
Run and open Rainmeter from the Windows system tray.
On the Skins tab, navigate to and select one of:

Faithlife \ VotD \ VotD.ini
Faithlife \ VotD \ VotD-TextOnly.ini

Click the "Load" button at the top right side.
On your desktop drag it to the position you want.

Change the size of the VotD artwork:

Right click on the VotD artwork & select "Edit skin"
Look under the [Variables] section for the line "Width=600"
Change from 600 to whatever width you desire in pixels
Save & Close the file
Right click again on the VotD artwork & select "Refresh skin"

Customize the TextOnly variant:

Right click on the VotD artwork & select "Edit skin"
Look under the [Variables] section

Modify the Width variable as above.
Change the color of the font or the background as desired using either hex RGBA or decimal R,G,B,A format. Note that the lowest value for the background alpha channel should be 1, as a setting of 0 disabled mouse detection.
Change the Text alignment (Left, Center, or Right)

Save & Close the file
Right click again on the VotD artwork & select "Refresh skin"

Thanks for this. Rainmeter lets Windows 10 do some pretty neat things. I'll be playing with this.

I've updated the VotD skin. Nearly at a final 1.0 release. Mainly I want to run it a few more weeks to see if there is anything else I want to tweak or change. The original post above is updated with info and links to the current release.

I've added a Text Only variant that is customizable. Also, added a Share to Twitter button, redrew the bottom icons instead of the ugly screen captured buttons I had previously. I changed from the greyed out buttons to slightly dimmed buttons to show the non-hover state.

I'd still love to be able to open Logos to a Bible Study Layout at the given verse, or a Workflow...

I'd also kinda like to make another companion skin that's a status indicator for status.faithlife.com, but I'm not sure yet. This is a very niche toy (very few hits here; in fact, I've actually got more hits hosting at DeviantArt's Rainmeter section than here), and a status indicator would be much much more so. But it might be a good diversion sometime on a rainy day.
