Wrong Spell Checking Workflow
Possible bug.
When Writing text in my own Workflow, everything is Red Underlined, because I'm not Writing in English. That's pretty weird.
The corresponding notes in my note-document don't have these spell check lines. They recognize my default language.
That didn't occur in former builds. The spell checking in Notes and Workflows used to work fine..

A.J.,
Where is your language set? Is it in the application or your computer or both? Also, can you confirm which language you are using, it looks like it is Dutch.
Thanks,
Philana

Philana,
Thanks for answering
Some extra information
- Indeed the language is Dutch[:)]
- The problem occurs on Mac and Windows.
- Both 8.3 beta 1 and 2
- The Text in the Workflow editor is red underlined and seen as incorrect. The same text as a separate note (in the note application) isn't underlined. The spelling is there seen as correct.
- On Windows and Mac, the interface in Logos is Dutch! Language (Taal) - Dutch (Nederlands).
- The language on my computer and mac is also Dutch.

We are now in Logos 8.4, but this bug isn't yet repaired. Workflow is pretty useless for me until this problem is solved.

Hans,
I'm sorry for the inconvenience. The issue here stems from the fact that the workflow response fields and the Notes tool editor each use different text editor technologies, each with their own spell check dictionaries. We investigated adding Dutch and other language dictionaries too the application, but there are some concerns we will need to solve about increasing the size of the installer, and slower load times for all users.
In the meantime, the workaround is to turn off spell check in Program Settings. In 8.6, this setting will be off by default in UI languages that don't have a spell check dictionary installed.

Adam,
Thanks for answering and for the clarification.
The spell checker is tremendously convenient for notes and for the sermon editor. Unchecking it by default wouldn't be the right solution, I suppose. The remedy would be worse than the disease, perhaps. (Of course people can manually enable it).
The problem with spell checking in the workflow didn't however exist from the beginning. When it was released, everything worked well. The problem began after a certain update. In December/January I made several workflows and everything went ok. No spell problems! The issue began after an update in February, I suppose. I'v mentioned it when I saw it.
When this problem can't be solved in short time, It would be more convenient if the spell checker for non-English users would be only turned off in the Work flow and not generally.
Hope this information will help you to find the right direction/solution.
Thanks again for you answer and for the very good work on Logos.

Adam,
Thanks for the update in 8.6 Beta 3. Every thing is working ok now. It's even possible to check English words inside a Dutch note!
Thanks!
Hans
