PSA: Removing "Search (while typing)" option
In 8.5, as part of an ongoing effort to make Logos easier and faster, we plan to remove an option in the search panel called "Search (while typing)."
- This is a little-known and little-used option
- It complicates the user interface
- It can cause performance problems for the applications in certain scenarios
Again, this will be removed in 8.5, which is planned to ship all Logos users May 27, 2019.
Thanks.

Also remove an option called "Match Equivalent Resources".
- it is a little-understood and little-used option
- it complicates the user interface
- it gives results that are unpredictable!

I find this one useful ... but the dataset behind it seems to be caught midway between a change in philosophy. I'd like to see the dataset set right before a decision is made on this.

And hasn't changed in well over four years...

Much to my annoyance especially on initial load records where people and places are labeled topics ...
