What is the best way to find the frequency a Greek word is used within a passage?

I have been shown this but simply cannot recall.

Thank you,

JT

It's important to use a Greek bible for this. Right-click the word and select Lemma on the right side.

On the left side you can select Bible Word Study, but results can be confusing. Select a Search instead.

Click All Passages so that you can enter your passage e.g. John or Jn 1, etc.

    Welcome to the forums, Jason.

You would do a Morph Search and select your scripture range, I have selected 1Co 11.18-24. I have elected to search for the term και in this range. There are at least two ways you can identify your target lemma. First, is the right-click method. Right-click the word you are interested in, this case its "for" in verse 19. Select Search Morph: και from the popup. Once the Search tab generates indicate the passage range your interested in (it is tidier if you have already done this in advance, but it works just as well if you haven't). Next, select Analysis view. Then drag your Greek lemma heading to the far left and you should now see displayed the number of times your lemma appears in the range you have selected, in parentheses.

The second method is similar except you open Search, select morph search type lemma:g:kai and a drop-down list from which you will select the appropriate lemma from appears then repeat the rest of the above procedure. It's not as complicated as it sounds. See below for some screenshots.

Meanwhile, Jesus kept on growing wiser and more mature, and in favor with God and his fellow man.

Here are a couple of ideas, depending on exactly you want to do.

Option 1: If you are interested in highlighting the occurrences of one word at a time, you can use the Corresponding Words Visual Filter. You can click on a word and other occurrences of the word will be highlighted. You can also specify if you want other words from the same root to be highlighted.

Option 2: If you want to collect statistics on how often every Greek word appears in a passage, you could use the Concordance Tool.
