Hi,

I am new to Logos, but have noticed some dated discussion on Word Frequency.

Does Logos 8 have a way to create a vocabulary frequency list for a given book?

For instance, if I wanted to find the most frequent words in 1 Samuel, could Logos 8 do this?

I am not trying to run a statistical analysis, but only to view a list of words used most frequently in a given text.  Yes, the frequency list will need to list by lemma.

Might anyone have a suggestion?

The concordance tool should do the trick. It can be accessed through the Tools menu.

You can use either Concordance or the Word List document.

Here's the document: https://fl.vu/Je52Z.

Hi,

Thanks, Phil.  Yes, the concordance should work; I had thought there might be a way to list the most frequent words in order of occurrence. My guess is to set the parameters and then, run the data.  That should work, shouldn't it?  Someone has done a lot of work in creating Logos.

Hi,

My second thanks to a second Phil!

Thanks, too, for the image.  Such was very helpful.

Using the Hebrew lemma was especially helpful.

I am very pleased with the Logos programming and the wide selections of books available.

Thanks, again!
