I am currently reading through the NRSV using the Historical Reading Plan. After reading Isaiah, I was taken to Ezekiel, and then to Hosea. I know of no dating of Ezekiel's prophecy other than in the Babylonian captivity. How then is it sandwiched in between Isaiah and Hosea?
I realize there is significant debate over the dating of many biblical texts, but this seemed more straightforward than others...
The Historical Plan, as per its description, follows Hebrew Bible book order (see https://www.blueletterbible.org/dailyreading/PDF/1Yr_HistoricalPlan.pdf). It's not chronological; for that, use the Chronological Bible Reading Plan.
Ah, I see. Misunderstood. Thanks for the clarification.
