selection menu
It was an "intrusion" in Word.
In Logos 8 I went to Program Settings and switched it to "No"

I've filed a bug report, this will likely not be fixed before we ship to stable, but we can hopefully fix it soon.

FYI, the bug also happens if I view the update message on the Toolbar.

Although I have this problem less often than I used to, the problem is still not gone for me as of Logos 8.10.

Nor is it gone from my system Logos 8.10 Mac OS 10.15.2

What programs are you seeing this in?

Jack,
This wasn't originally broken on macOS or at least we couldn't reproduce it. Are there any specific programs you see this with?

The selection menu stays up no matter what program I switch to in Windows. I can only get rid of it if I change the focus back to Logos and click somewhere in Logos.
I notice that the menu goes away if I click on another program with the mouse, but it stays up if I change to another program with the Alt-Tab key.

Thank you Harry for tracking this down. It happens to me so rarely, I wasn't even sure Logos was to blame.

This has been around for a very long time. It just has not bothered me enough to report.
Was just able to break it. Clicked on a layout in the toolbar. The thumbnail of the layout appear just below and to the right of the button. Switched to Safari using Cmd-Tab, and the thumbnail remained. Attempted to take a screenshot, but the thumbnail disappeared when I moved the mouse.
Tried again with the same result.
