I would like to see the interlinears in Logos to show lexical units ("chunks") by the use of colored brackets on the original language text. Examples:

  • fixed lexical collocation - words that have a fixed order e.g. fish and chips, frick and frack
  • formulaic language - "excuse me", "hang on a minute"
  • idioms - "bucket list", "kick the bucket"
  • phrasal verbs - "show off", "check in", "get up"

There may be additional types that haven't come to mind. This would help ensure that actual lexical units are used in word studies. It would also mitigate the absence of n-tuples in the Concordance tool which would assist in studying these units.
