1. Several attempts to quit L4
2. The colorful wheel of death starts spinning
3. Have to force quit.
This happens every time I try to quit L4.

I have the same problem. Very consistent. Logs attached.

Same here. L4 A22.1 won't quit. I have to ForceQuit the app. It used to be fine but now it needs the ForceQuit every time.
I noted the bug has already been noted and posted. Thanks.
Blessings,
Fernando
Are you running the latest version of Snow Leopard, perchance? I have developed the same problem but think it started after I updated my OS to 10.6.4. Can't swear by this but think it's right. A22.1 did not initially crash when quitting.
Also my lectionary panel is no longer displaying. Am getting a dash and that's it.

Updated to Mac OS X 10.6.4 - opened A22.1 to Home Page - Quit - saw "Logos Bible Software" blue highlight in menu bar:
Many minutes later, CPU Time had increased to 2:10.40 - with lots free memory, noted 1.1 MB Page Outs.
Keep Smiling [:)]

Yep. That's what mine looks like to. I also had Activity Mgr. open but didn't notice SyncMgr. Then again, I wasn't looking for that. Thanks. My suspicions are growing about the update. Bad update. Bad! You broke Logos! :-)
An update to my previous post. You found the problem and it's the lectionary feature. I had the same issue going on with Lectionary turned on but when I turned it off, Logos quit without hanging. Can others confirm this?
Yes, I did update to Snow Leopard 10.6.4, but did that before I loaded Alpha 22.1. It worked for a day or so, and then starting hanging.

Having the same issue. Program appears to be syncing even though it's supposed to be shutting down.
I mentioned in another post a couple of weeks back the Logos blue cross is missing now. That was the only visual clue for downloading.
Here are some more logs for the stack.

Same issue here - have to force quit 22.1. 22 worked fine, no change after updating to 10.6.4. I also updated to Safari 5, not sure if there's any connection there - in the past Safari updates have caused some issues.

I can confirm that it is a problem with the Lectionary Tool, specifically if there are more than 9 readings (as there are this week in the Revised Common Lectionary). This will be fixed in A23.
Turning off the lectionary in the home page will workaround the issue for now. (Show Home Page, click Customize button, uncheck "Lectionary" and restart).

Thank you, Tom! [Y][B]
This is when mine started, too. I updated yesterday and never had any problems with L4 crashing. I thought it was a one-time thing given what I was doing at the time.
Now, I can only exist with a forced shutdown.
... and now see the workaround was listed later. thanks.
[Y] Workaround: after uncheckIng "Lectionary" on home page => quit => Force Quit => Launch A22.1 => Normal Quit working [:)]
Thanks Tom [8-|]
Thank you Tom!
I can confirm that this solution worked for me. I turned off the Lectionary feature and the problem ceased immediately.
Lectionary it is, thanks...
Thanks....works fine now...
