Logos contains some volumes from the C19th 'Nichol's series of commentaries', which are listed as such on the product pages and are grouped as such in the Logos software (eg when you go to 'Prioritise resources').

Eg Nathanael Hardy - The First Epistle of St John John Cotton - A Brief Exposition of Ecclesiastes and Thomas Cartwright - A Commentary on Colossians

However there are two issues:

1. There doesn't seem to be any way to search for the series on the Logos website. The series description 'Nichol's series of commentaries' on the product page isn't hyperlinked, and searching for 'Nichol's series' or 'Nichol's series of commentaries' doesn't bring them up.

2. Not all resources which are part of the series are listed as such. Eg
Airay - Lectures on Philippians or Byfield - An Exposition upon Colossians (I don't have a complete list but am trying to find one).

However #1 at least should be easy to rectify and beneficial to Faithlife to be able to point people to a respected commentary series

Thanks for bringing this up. This is definitely an area of improvement we need to address (I believe there are other commentary sets with similar issues). I've forwarded this on to the team. We'll add it to the queue.

Thanks Ben.

Other works currently in Logos which are part of the series are

Thomas Jacomb - Sermons on Romans 8:1-4
Edward Marbury on Obadiah and Habakkuk
Jeremiah Burroughs on Hosea
Paul Bayne on Ephesians
William Gouge on Hebrews (3 vols - 3rd volume currently missing from Logos)
Stock and Torshell on Malachi
Muffet on Proverbs
Jenkyn on Jude
Adams on 2 Peter

Think it would be an easily marketable series if made into a set! Top quality puritan expositions, most of which is fairly hard to get today.

Great thread! I’ll have to work my way through this list! I’m also wondering if the third Hebrews volume will be supplied to those who have the 2 volumes since they most likely believed it was a full commentary on Hebrews when it was purchased, and not merely through chap. 10.
