Is there a way to search a group of resources without making a collection? Also, I know I could open the library identify the resources, select the resources and right click on the group and select search this resource, but I was look for something like the following:

 pray* WITHIN {Type <Bible Commentary>} in a basic search

thanks

Yes - this uses something known as "Quick Collections" described at https://community.logos.com/forums/t/92688.aspx

Basically, in the search panel, click the "All Resources" link at the top and then enter the group definition in the box. Select the matching entry and you should have what you are looking for.
