Create Categories for Monographs

I just finished watching an MP webinar on "Discover your out of sight out of mind books" or utilizing monographs. It was well done and I recommend it. However, there are still lots of steps users need to do to get to a point of utilizing his tips. So.... let's look at the webpage for the Standard Diamond Package showing the categories of all the books in the package:

Lots of monographs in those categories. Why won't FL create a category section in the library and then have the monographs included in those categories.

Users can still create their own collections and tags so this will not interfere or mess up what they have, but it will create an easier way to create those collections and tags if they want to use it.

Monographs are the one area that most users will miss using because the access to them is not easy and to do so requires lots of time and effort.

Now power users probably do not need this and beginners may not even understand what I am recommending... but I propose it anyway.

I second this recommendation.  Even broad categories like this would be helpful when navigating a large library.

This is an area we're definitely interested in. In the last year or two we've broken out the following resource types:

    • Atlas
    • Biblical Theology
    • Confessional Documents
    • Hymnal
    • Letters
    • Poetry
    • Prayers
    • Sermons
    • Study Bible (this was more of a separation of Bible Notes and Study Bible)

We're very much interested in adding more.
