I noticed that the selecting of text in order to highlight DOES NOT work well at all on my iPad Air 2. In an effort to select a couple of key words in Proverbs 1:2 (the words “wisdom and discipline“) I had a great deal of difficulty and finally quit. I pressed on “wisdom” and that word was selected but when I tried to slide the pin in order to highlight the remaining words it would not slide in order to select the text. After a couple of attempts you could no longer select any text. I had to quit L8  mobile and then I could at least select but still could not select entire phrase.

I am sorry to hear that you are having this problem, Bob.

We are looking at ways to improve on this behavior.  In the meantime, you you may find one of these workarounds to be helpful:

Rotate the screen to refresh the display, then try again.

Scroll the text up and down to refresh the display, then try again.

Turn off Scrolling View then try again, using these instructions:

  1. Open the app.
  2. Open a resource then tap on the screen to show the top/bottom controls.
  3. Tap on the three-dot Panel icon at the top right.
  4. Choose “View Settings” then disable the “Scrolling View” option.

Hi Bob,

We are still working on improving highlighting, but I would appreciate it if you could send us your logs.  That we we can investigate if there are additional factors slowing down your highlighting.

Please do the following:
1. Open the app.
2. Tap the Menu icon (has three horizontal lines).
3. Tap Help.
4. Press "Report a Problem"
5. A pre-addressed email will open with a log file attached automatically. Press "Send" to send your report.

i cannot guarantee it, but I think it is likely that logs will be helpful.

The most frequent reason for this is not having an email address set up on your device.

Sorry, Bob, I am only now noticing that you signature mentions your have an iPad 2 running iOS 8.2.1.

The minimum required version for our app is iOS 12.4.

If this information is correct I can only recommend using a different device instead.  I believe the maximum version of iOS available for the iPad 2 is IOS 8.

Bob, as Alabama mentioned, the main reason for not being able to send logs is the lack of an active email account.  Another reason is choosing a specific email app that has not been activated yet.  

If you are still having this problem, please try sending logs again.  See if the email app you currently use is listed as one of the options.  If not, open up one of the listed email apps and link it to your email address.  Then try sending your logs again, using the email app you have just activated.

Just to make sure we are talking about the same thing... Do you have an email address set up in the "mail" app in iOS? It will not work if you are using any other app.

If that doesn't work, try restarting the device (full shut down) and see if that allows you to send the logs. Also, how fast / good is your internet?

My internet is marginal actually. I went to my ipad and under settings, apple id it lists three email accounts. The first one is my primary one that I use exclusively.

I did as Joe recommended and removed Logos from my ipad and reinstalled. After installation I downloaded minimal resources and then attempted to select text for the purpose of highlighting. Selection of text is STILL not working properly!
