The CSB Life Connections Study Bible was released today. It is an updates version of the Serendipity Study Bible for small groups - filled with questions to lead small group Bible studies on any passage.

The product page https://www.logos.com/product/188831/csb-life-connections-study-bible-notes has the name of the resource as "CSB Life Connection Study Bible Notes", but the description of the Key Features reads:

Key Features

  • Utilizes the “Open-Consider-Apply” method for small group Bible study and personal reflection
  • Features thousands of chapter specific questions
  • Includes text focused course study plans

It looks like the study questions were advertised, but only the bottom-of-the-page notes were released. The questions were really the power of the book.

Where are the Open-Consider-Apply study questions? Where are the "thousands of chapter specific questions? Where are the course study questions?

I'm sure that others will respond with more information about your question.  However, Faithlife does have a 30 day return policy if choose not to keep the resource.

I was just about to post on this... what gives?  The entire reason I purchased this was for those questions.  I hope these get fixed/added.  Not trying to be Mr. Negative but this is disappointing for sure

It is also missing the Maps and Concordance... (The MacArthur Study Bible in Logos has it's concordance)

From the Logos Page:

The CSB Life Connections Study Bible includes thousands of questions and study helps for all 1,189 chapters of the Bible—all updated for today’s readers. This Bible includes short chapter-by-chapter comments about key people, places, and events along with guidance through the “Open-Consider-Apply” method for small group Bible study and personal reflection.

  • “Open” questions initiate discussion and/or reflection
  • “Consider” questions focus on the details of the passage
  • “Apply” questions encourage application to daily life
  • Also included are select “For Groups,” “For Worship,” and “Dig Deeper” questions for further study, reflection, discussion, and application.

Additional features in this CSB study Bible for women and men include:

  • Study note commentary on every page to accompany the thousands of chapter specific margin questions
  • 200 text focused course study plans of common Bible passages and events
  • 16 topical course study plans, two-color interior design
  • Presentation page
  • Textual footnotes
  • Concordance
  • Full-color maps

The product page only mentions Bible Text not included: https://www.logos.com/product/188831/csb-life-connections-study-bible-notes

Very good verse notes, but I already have several study Bibles note resources (not to mention a LOT of commentaries) and didn't really need another.  The biggest reason I bought it was for all the features mentioned in the above posts and more (two more examples from the book below).

I'm hoping updates are being worked on for this to make it complete as advertised.  Otherwise this is way overpriced.

The scanned pages look better in the samples.  The look inside doesn’t give much.

Thanks for bringing this to my attention. I would be interested in this resource.... but only if the questions are added. Hopefully we can get a response from FL.

I apologize. We definitely messed up on this one.

There was confusion on our end on what could be included and we got it wrong. We're working on getting the missing material namely the chapter summary, margin questions, and the concordance as fast as we can.

I'm looking into the issue of full-color maps. I'm baffled by that one. They're mentioned in the marketing materials provided by the publisher but there are no maps in materials that were provided to us.

I don't think the dot has any special meaning. Looking through the Study Bible it was applied to the first note of every chapter but that's not explicitly explained anywhere.

Thank you Kyle. Just curious... I was one who bought this resource primarily for those reasons. Are there any plans to refund pre-publication orders and re-process them in the future? I know I can get a refund, but published price is not the same as pre-pub pricing for whenever I'd re-order it.

There aren't any plans to handle it that way. The plan is just to update the book with the missing material. But if you contacted customer service I'm sure they could set something up so you could return it now and purchase it later at the pre-pub price.

Kyle - If you were to return the resource to the pre-pub category, I am sure some of us might make an additional purchase. (hint, hint). Smile
