Resource citation title link

it seems that when I paste text from a Logos resource I have into an external document, the title's sub-surface link is foremost a web link -- Clicking the title's link in the document opens a browser tab besides taking me to the resource in my desktop app.

I know I can get into the subtexted link and massage it to something akin to "logosres:esv;ref=Bible ..." ...

However, I do not want the browser to know about the click -- What I'd really appreciate is that the embedded link in the title reference of copied text BE the L4 format above by default. I want only the desktop app to respond.

How do I change the default link under the title reference from 'https ...' to 'logosres ...'?

ref.ly links are the standard as L4 links do not work from all external documents. If you know it works, you will have to manually change the citation to L4 format. Or do not use the Hyperlink option in Tools > Program Settings for Citations, and manually apply the L4 link in the document.

However,

1) I don't ever want a web connection for this; I want all my citing external-document resource links to open/goto my Logos, so tweaking the link, sometimes 5-10 times in a day, routinely once a day, is no practical workaround.

2) Were the hyperlink option to only open one tab, on my first use from the Scrivener RTF files I use, I could see that as a 'functionality' to be ignored, but since Logos-links open Firefox tabs on each use, the clutter interferes with my web use, related or otherwise.

(Yes, I'd seen the "not work from all external documents" crumbs among forum entries; is this a reason to not bother with its working from many (most?) external documents?)

Program Settings has Hyperlinked option for Copy Citations: Yes includes newer ref.ly URL location hyperlink.

Logos 4 (L4) link style is still available: (logosres)

logosres:leb;ref=BibleLEB2.Php4.4

Pasting URL location into Logos/Verbum application command box:

https://ref.ly/logosres/leb?ref=BibleLEB2.Php4.4

is resolved within desktop application (does not use a browser nor need internet access)

Thank you for your effort; I understand both these, URL and L4, and have applied them in their day to use them.

However, my disappointment is that outside Logos, in external documents where I want to have a direct link to Logos resources, "https://ref.ly/logosres/leb?ref=BibleLEB2.Php4.4" opens a browser tab, eg, "https://app.logos.com/signin?returnUrl=%2Frefly%3Furi%3Dlogosres%253Aleb%253Bref%253DBibleLEB2.Php4.4", then opens/jumps to the Logos resource in my app.

And if I click the Philippians link in the external document again, it again first opens a browser tab (a new tab), then jumps to the Logos resource.
(The same thing happens if I click a different URL link in the external document, eg, "https://ref.ly/logosres/nrsv?ref=BibleNRSV.Ge11.1&off=22&ctx=e+Tower+of+Babel%0a11+~Now+the+whole+earth+".)

This is not the behavior I want.

Yes, L4 is still available, but I have to invoke it 'manually', separately, with each Logos text copy.

I'd prefer to Ctrl+C, Ctrl+V to get the desktop apps (Scrivener-Logos) connected, rather than every time have to execute the extra L4 click and Word/Scrivener keystrokes to put the logosres string inside the title of the resource.

What I would like is a more generic "Hyperlinked option for Copy Citations", one which gives me the option of using the ref.ly URL link
OR the "logosres" string as the default subtext for the resource title. (Or of course, neither).

(Yes, I could and have tweaked the URL into a logosres string ... "https://ref.ly/logosres:leb;ref=BibleLEB2.Php4.4" ... but the 'manual labor' is similar and fraught.)

Yes, the URL string does work IN Logos, but that is not where I reference from, reference validate, and write: I do that in external documents.
(From which logosres works fine to take me to the Logos resource within the Logos desktop app.)

There is not an option to change this.

FWIW, operating systems are beginning to give applications the ability to handle a URL directly, without opening a browser. iOS and Android already support this, and I believe macOS will support it in macOS 11. (I haven't heard any news about Windows supporting it, though.) So, in the future, once we have proper Operating System support, clicking a https://ref.ly/ link may open it directly in Logos instead of your web browser, which may solve the problem you're reporting.

On the verge of moving to a new PC, I'll not add a background Handler/Manager app for now.

I found that when I executed the link, the Logos app Search window truncates the string as "([field words-of-christ] (((don", but I do get the drift of it.
And while my usual use for this Scriv/Logos connection will be getting to the specific resource for my citation's context, I will keep a Search tab string draft nearby.

Yes, Literature & Latte is playing catch-up when it comes to their Windows app, just now beta/RC testing its Mac-comparable V3: After the Win v3 is released, there may be an Android port of the iOS version (if it is that 'simple' to do).

Also FWIW, there is a Windows registry tweak that might give me an "Open With" option, though that itself may only get me part way to what I'd want to be doing regularly.

But then, though I have fiddled with the Reg. several times in the Day, I'll not now and live with the extra steps during the text copy.
