I already have all the older collections and resources of St. Augustine, but I'm tempted by these 2 new resources that are on sale. Are the new translations that much better than the older works?

I have the 1st edition of Confessions from NCP in dead tree format - and it is great - much better than the translations I have in Logos. Unfortunately I do not know anything about this translation of City of God.

I've much preferred them when I've been able to work with them. I find them clearer and more faithful to the Latin (in the parts I've checked), too.
