BUG: Application Updates not included in update notification 'little blue circle'

We used to have the application updates e.g. 9 SR-1 notified to the user via the 'little blue circle' update notification icon (which had a link to the release notes). This is now AWOL and Missing in Action. I assume it is a bug as I'm not sure there is a valid reason to REMOVE something that was working well. PS I know I can find version numbers in the About page and release notes on the forum/wiki etc but the notification is clear when it happens!

The feature has not been removed, but it sometimes happens that the notification does not arrive if Logos has been running for some time. Try update now in the GO/Command box.

For me the application has not been running for some time. It was running for about an hour before restarting.

I'll try update now when SR-2 arrives [:D]

However if there is an issue that 'sometimes happens' - I'm happy to keep this as a bug report.
