Mobile Ed Videos cannot be played unless Content Scaling is set to 100%

This issue existed in Logos 8 desktop on the Mac and persists in Logos 9 desktop on the Mac. If I open a Mobile Ed class and a video panel is shown, it loads the video, but if I click on the play control (the right-facing triangle in the bottom left of the video window) nothing happens. I can't watch the video.

It doesn't work when Content Scaling is set to anything but 100%. This is a defect.

I am running Logos 9 SR-2 on macOS Catalina 10.15.7, but this defect has been around for a while. Is FaithLife planning on fixing this defect?

I do not have this problem on Catalina 10.15.7. I tried content scaling set to 100%, 90%, 110%, and I also resized the video of a LME course once open to full screen and several partial screens, all worked perfectly. I tried multiple videos. There are some troubleshooting tips on Google for problems playing video on Macs/Catalina, you might want to check those out or at least try and play around with your configuration and/or Logos settings to see if it's triggered by something else, as it's not a generic problem affecting all Macs; otherwise it might be difficult for Logos to find the problem. Maybe some others have some tips as to how to isolate the problem.

Good luck and if we can help by trying/testing anything let us know in this thread!

Ah never mind I duplicated it! Here is the difference - if I open the videos directly from the Resource Library, for example NT350 (videos), it will play at any Content Scaling setting. BUT, if you play videos through the Courses tool, then it only plays at Content Scaling 100%!

    An obscure but repeatable bug!

    Hi Mike,

We do have a case for this. I've added a link to this thread. I'm not sure where this is on our list, but I did bring it to the team's consideration.
