Personal Book Builder and Interlinear Texts Question

Question for Bob or some other Logos employee in the know:

Will the upcoming Personal Book Builder tool support the creation of interlinear resources?

I ask because I think it would be an interesting project to work on to create an interlinear gospel synopsis, at least for those passages where the Greek wording is very close.  If PBB isn't going to have this capability, is there any chance of my gaining access to the internal tool you use for developing such resources?

Of course, this also begs the question regarding whether the interlinear infrastructure will support parallels between two words within the same resource, but in different verses, since the other interlinears are between words in the same verse of two different resources.  But it sure would be cool to be able to do things like select text in Mark and see the corresponding words in Matthew be highlighted.

Hmmm, another thought: transitivity.  Click on an English word in say ESV's Mark, the reverse interlinear leads to the Greek word in Mark, synopsis interlinear leads to the Greek word in Matthew, which the reverse interlinear leads back to the English word in ESV Matthew.

Back to the initial question, if I can gain access to the appropriate tool(s), I would be interested in attemptlng such a project.  I'm not looking for compensation and would make the results available for free.

    Jeffrey,

Obviously I cannot answer your question, but the project sounds interesting. I would suggest emailing Bob P directly to see what kind of response you get. He is bobp at logos dot com

Interlinears involve a lot of highly specialized tagging and not-user-friendly internal tools and processes. I don't this we'll be supporting them in PBB very soon, if at all.

(We are investigating making some tools for translation/interlinears available, but it's unlikely they'd integrate with PBB.)

You can, however, use mutliple columns in the sentence diagrammer (new in 4.1 beta) to insert synoptic parallels and highlight similarities, etc.

It's actually just bob at logos dot com, for future reference. But he's already responded here so that's moot in this particular context.

I played around with this a little bit.  I'm not sold on this being the best way for me to implement such a synopsis yet.

Here's a screen shot.  If anyone has any suggestions about how to better present this data, please feel free to offer suggestions.image

Bob, any update in the last 7 years?  Any closer to making that tool for translations or interlinears available?

Not many people look in the Logos 4 forum these days.
