Disappearing Reading Plan Cards
The other day, I updated my Mac (Big Sur 11.2.3) to Beta 9.5.1, and my current reading plan cards disappeared from my dashboard. I tried on a Windows 10 PC and the same is true there, too. When I go to add them via the + button, the current plans don't show up. All of my older, completed completed plans do show. The reading plans are still in the Docs menu. Is there a way to get the cards back on the dashboard? Thanks!

This bug has hit me and others as well (in fact I don't think anyone claimed it did not happen to them), but somehow it never received much attention when reported here and in some postings below. Maybe it helps to have a separate thread.
Have joy in the Lord!

Mine disappeared too. I have since found my reading plans and open them in another way. Faithlife should fix it.

Thanks, everyone. We'll look into this immediately.

This has been fixed in 9.5 Beta 2.

Has this problem returned in Logos 10? I'm trying to add a new reading plan card to my home screen, but it disappears every time I access it or shut Logos down. Is anyone else seeing this again? I just updated to Logos 10.1.

Here's an additional observation: the behavior I observed (disappearing card) was when I reopened an old reading plan and updated the start date. I wondered if that had something to do with it, so I deleted the updated plan and recreated it from scratch by creating a new reading plan. When I did this, the card reappeared on my home screen, so it makes me think this has something to do with it. I'll keep an eye on this and update this thread if I notice anything else.

Hi Bob,
I'm looking at this today and getting different results, but wanted to check with you and make sure my route is similar to what you are doing. Let me know if I am missing something as well, sorry in advance if I am.
Here's some screenshots on of the steps I took.
1) Selected the + sign to add a reading plan.
2) Selected a reading plan from the "Predefined list"
3) Selecting the reading plan from my home screen loads the reading plan and doesn't crash for me.

Hi Matt,
Sorry, I don't think I was clear as to what was happening. First, I opened an old reading plan that I had previously completed and updated it so that I could follow it again, with a different end date. I then followed the steps you did to add the reading plan to my home screen, but in my case I chose the reading plan I had just updated. The card was added to my home screen. Next, I clicked on the card to open the reading plan. When I closed the open windows to return to the home screen, the newly added card disappeared. Logos did not crash, but the card was gone. The card would also disappear if I closed Logos and reopened it.
As I said in my last email, I was curious as to whether reusing the old but updated reading plan was causing this issue, so I created a brand new reading plan and added its card to the home screen. Doing it this way, it stayed on the home screen even after opening/closing it or closing and reopening Logos.
I believe this has gotten around the problem, but I guess it does show that some sort of issue exists. Let me know if there are things you would like for me to try.
Thanks for looking into this!

With a completed Plan to "read at your own pace"
- a card could not be added to Home
- a card was added (manually) after I had chosen a new start date.
- but it was not updated after a reading until I restarted Verbum 10.
