One point more: do you have on or two screens?
In my setup the desktop computer has two screens and the setups I use utilize both screens. It has a stable Logos version and works fine.
In my laptop I have one screen and beta version. This one locks up. The problem started with 9.6. But I just wonder whether the two-screen layout could have an effect? Using the close all panels between the layouts prevents the lockup.

I only use 1 screen. I first noticed the problem with 9.6 beta 1.

I'm afraid we need collect even more logs using a different tool. Will you please reproduce the hang and collect a Process Dump using the instructions at this page?
