I understand why we do not have the text of the hymns for the Liturgy of the Hours (copyright issues). But why don't we have a list of the hymns so we can get the texts through other, legal means? And link to the texts when they are in Verbum (personal book -- not asking you to make the links).

I think we can do this as part of the "Works Cited" in the various appendices.

I think hymns are often localised, as it were. In the UK (well, England and Wales; Scotland and Northern Ireland might be different), a lot of the hymns in the standard LOTH books are written by the nuns of Stanbrook, which is a convent in the north of England. Others are from a variety of sources. We use a different system, including hymns from 4 or 5 different hymnals.

I think we can’t if we want to look up that day’s hymn while praying that hour without having to find where it’s buried away.

Quite true, however, the prayer book in Verbum is specifically that of the Catholic Book Publishing Corp. 1992 - so that is what I am asking for the hymns from.

I am able to link to the hymn texts that are available in Faithlife (a very limited number) or to my own library (quite extensive) if I know what hymns I am looking for. I'd rather have the basic list of titles in Verbum rather than building it myself.
