I am experiencing something that seems strange after adding ANCHORS to NOTES
First I add an ANCHOR: James 5:7-9 to my NOTE
- the anchor is showing correctly.
Also in the same NOTES I ANCHOR: James 5:1-6
- the anchor for James 5:7-9 disappears and places one on James 5:1?
In my same NOTE I try add ANCHORs James 5:3 and James 5:8-9
- the only anchor visible from the Bible is James 5:1 is this correct?
Brother Paul:the only anchor visible from the Bible is James 5:1 is this correct?
It's how Logos works when multiple anchors in effect link the note to one long section of text. The assumption (maybe wrongly) seems to be that it is preferable not to flood the bible with many note icons that all link to the same note.
Note that the various anchors will still be visible in your note - it's the note icons in the bible that get "merged"
Running Logos 9 latest (beta) version on Win 10
Many thanks for your prompt reply, after trying over half a dozen examples that was the conclusion I came up with, but preferred it to be confirmed my people like yourself, so that I know what I am doing is correct.
It all makes sense, I can now limit the amount of anchors in a single thread, (although if I do add the odd one the software will deal with it as you state)
I agree, the scripture verses are already in my Notes, I did wonder if the anchors were necessary but I am still learning the software.
Thanks again
Paul
I found a way around the issue
To add Anchors for say Rev 6:1-8, and 6:9-11 which would only show Rev 6:1 and ignore the second one.
By adding Rev 6:1-7 and 6:9-11, both anchors show, one at v1 and the second at v9
