9.7 RC1 CRASH: Logos Crashes when linked LXX/NA28 goes from OT to NT
I have my Logos LXX and NA28 in a series so that I can have a full Greek bible in one panel (OT/NT). After updating to 9.7 RC1 I experienced a crash when I had the LXX/NA28 in a linkset with several other bibles. I was in Ezekiel and attempted to go to Revelation, and the software crashed. I didn't experience any crashes when I started in the NT and jumped to the OT for some reason. But when I tried to go back to Revelation from Ezekiel it crashed. See the screenshot below and the log files.
The LXX doesn't change to the NA28. When I try to click on the LXX tab, it crashes.

Update: Now I also can't get it to go from the NT to the OT. The problem seemed to temporarily fix itself and I was able to get from the OT to the NT. But when I tried to go back to the OT from the NT it crashed again.

I could not reproduce your crash, using CEV instead of CEB, and also linked NABRE and TNTC (Tyndale NT Commentaries). I assumed that you used ESV as the "master" for changing passages. The crash log indicates an issue between instances of NA28 and Logos LXX, but I have the same versions as the log.
I suggest you delete the instance of NA28/Logos LXX, restart Logos and re-open in a new tab.

I assume by "delete" you mean close, and not delete the resources from my device and redownload them (or do you?).
I've closed and reopened the resource, I've tried starting from a blank layout and then just adding an english bible and the greek bible open and linked. I've restarted Logos. I've even restarted my computer. The results are inconclusive, sometimes it works fine and I think maybe the problem has fixed itself. Then it crashes again. I'm not sure what exact circumstances are causing it.
It seems to happen more when I have just opened Logos to a saved layout and then add and link the greek bible and try to jump to the opposite testament (usually NT to OT, although sometimes also OT to NT). But even in that scenario sometimes it works fine. For example, it was working fine most of yesterday, but when I tried it again after reading your response now the NA28 won't go to the LXX and I'm afraid to click the tab because I know it will crash.
I'm going to try it with my NA28 GBS/SESB BHS series for a while and see if I have the same problem. Good thing I have two NA28s to test this with. Too bad I don't actually read hebrew. lol

It's also doing it when the linked LXX-NA28 is a part of the last loaded layout. I opened Logos, then the first thing I did was try to jump between testaments. The resources didn't jump, I clicked on the resource tab and it crashed. It doesn't like it when it's the very first thing that I do. I haven't had the issue with the NA28 GBS/SESB BHS series yet.

Hi Kiyah,
I wasn't able to reproduce your crash, but I did create a bug report.

I can replicate this crash consistently in my layout - I am sure I reported it many moons ago but I cannot find it.
Anyway to replicate.
- Add LXX/NA28 in a new series.
- Create new layout with ESV and LXX/NA28 in link set in tabs (so the LXX/NA28 is not showing - as in Kiyah image)
- Make ESV active to PS 23:1
- Save layout
- Reopen layout - do not click the LXX/NA28 tab
- Change ESV from PS23:1 to Rev 1:1
- Click LXX/NA28 tab.
Basically if the LXX/NA28 tab has not been active in the layout, it will not switch from LXX to NA28 when the ESV changes from OT to NT. It will then crash when made active.
Windows 10 and ever since Logos 8 every version possibly - definitely a long time. I just worked around by clicking once on the LXX/NA28 when opening the layout - if I remember.

Thanks for documenting this Kevin. It's interesting that I never had this problem before 9.7 though you've had it since L8. I use this resource a fair amount and never had a problem, then immediately had the problem upon updating to 9.7.

It also happens with other resources, such as Summarized Bible OT/NT, but not with other resources of similar type, eg Tyndale Commentaries do not cause it and happily switch once clicked on. I really thought I had logged it but seemingly not.
Anyhow will be nice if this does get fixed [Y]
Do you get the crash only if you have not opened the LXX/NA28 before switching from OT to NT as my problem? You may have a slightly different problem if not.

My issue is just as you laid it out. If I open Logos to a saved layout (or last loaded layout) with the LXX-NA28 not showing and then use one of the other bibles to jump testaments, the LXX-NA28 doesn't jump with them. When I click on the LXX-NA28 tab it crashes.

Bumping because I'm still having this issue. I just had another crash after updating to 9.8 SR-2. I had the LXX-NA28 open and linked, with the tab not active, when I restarted after the update. When I jumped from the OT to the NT and then clicked on the LXX-NA28 tab, the application crashed.

Kiyah,
Do you have your logs?
