Highlights on Logos Desktop Disappeared

Hi, I am currently using Logos Software 8.17.0.0022. This morning, my highlights just disappeared from my bible. I could still find them on Logos online platform. Anyone here knows how I can bring the highlights back?

Hi Alastair - and welcome to the forums

Please check that the Notes and Highlights visual filter is enabled in your Bible.

And is there any reason you are still running Logos 8? The free upgrade to Logos 9 is available at https://www.logos.com/product/194909/logos-9-basic Upgrading won't address this particular issue but Logos 8 is no longer officially supported.

Thanks for your reply Graham. Yes, the highlights are not displaying on my bible. And yes, I am using NLT (It is showing up on Logos Web though).

The reason why I am not upgrading to Logos 9 is due to my desktop software issues. Will this NLT issue be resolved in Logos 8?

No - this is not a Logos 8 issue that is resolved in Logos 9.

Were you able to check whether the Notes visual filter I mentioned was selected?

I'm not sure yet what is causing the problem you are seeing. It might not be a bug

A problem was caused with an update to the NLT over the last day or so that stops Corresponding Highlights being shown.

Do you know if the highlights you are missing were created directly in the NLT or where they created in another Bible and just visible in the NLT? (If the latter, you are seeing the same problems other are seeing with this recent update)

I have just noticed that the highlights you show in the Notes Tool do not contain a verse reference. For comparison, mine look like this

This could be related to running Logos 8 as opposed to 9 but I don't think so.

If you select a different Bible in the Notes Tool - click FSB in the Resource section, are the highlights displayed in the same way or do they include verse references?

I suspect this is a problem related to an issue with the NLT update that was recently released. We just published a newer version of the resource that should fix the problems.
